Comment: Lessons from immuno-oncology: a new era for cancer nanomedicine? Wen Jiang, Hengfeng Yuan, Charles K. Chan, Christina A. von Roemeling, Zuoqin Yan, Irving L. Weissman & Betty Y. S. Kim p369 | doi:10.1038/nrd.2017.34 Despite a decade of intensive preclinical research, the translation of cancer nanomedicine to the clinic has been slow. Here, we discuss how recent lessons learned from the successes with immuno-oncology therapies could be applied to cancer nanomedicine and how this may help to overcome some of the key technical challenges in this field. Delivery technologies for genome editing Hao Yin, Kevin J. Kauffman & Daniel G. Anderson p387 | doi:10.1038/nrd.2016.280 Genome editing has emerged as an attractive approach to therapeutically manipulate gene expression. Here, Anderson and colleagues provide an overview of genome-editing platforms, focusing on the methods and challenges of intracellular biomacromolecule delivery. Preclinical and clinical trials involving genome-editing technologies are also discussed. Abstract | Full Text | PDF | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Targeting iron metabolism in drug discovery and delivery Bart J. Crielaard, Twan Lammers & Stefano Rivella p400 | doi:10.1038/nrd.2016.248 Dysregulation of iron homeostasis occurs in haematological disorders and in other diseases such as cancer and neurodegeneration. Crielaard and colleagues discuss the progress made in interfering with iron metabolism as a therapeutic strategy, as well as in using iron metabolism to direct drugs to target tissues. Non-kinase targets of protein kinase inhibitors Lenka Munoz p424 | doi:10.1038/nrd.2016.266 Inhibition of proteins other than the intended target by small molecules can lead to the incorrect assignment of biological functions to particular proteins and wasted drug development efforts. Potential inhibition of off-target kinases by kinase inhibitors is often investigated, but kinase inhibitors can also inhibit non-kinases. Munoz examines the growing number of examples of this issue and suggests a systematic strategy to verify which protein is responsible for the effects of a given small molecule. I was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease a year ago at the age of 68. For several months I had noticed tremors in my right hand and the shaking of my right foot when I was sitting. My normally beautiful cursive writing was now small cramped printing. And I tended to lose my balance. Neurologist had me walk down the hall and said I didn't swing my right arm. I had never noticed! I was in denial for a while as there is no history in my family of parents and five older siblings, but now accept I had classic symptoms. I was taking pramipexole (Sifrol), carbidopa/levodopa and Biperiden, 2 mg. and started physical therapy to strengthen muscles. nothing was really working to help my condition.I went off the Siferol (with the doctor’s knowledge) and started on parkinson’s herbal formula i ordered from Health Herbal Clinic, my symptoms totally declined over a 3 weeks use of the Parkinsons disease natural herbal formula. i am now almost 70 and doing very well, the disease is totally reversed!! I was suffering from HIV and HERPES until i met with Dr.Isai who permanently cured me. Now that i am cured i decided to share my testimony on the internet. This is my story, i have been suffering from HIV/HERPES for some years now and during this period i was taking series of medications but none seems to be working on me, so few weeks ago i went on a search on the internet to see if i could get any information on how to get rid of this disease. So he told me how we are going to go about it, after all the procedures and remedy given to me by him few weeks later i started experiencing changes all over my body, and when i finish taking the medicine i went to my doctor to confirm if really i was cured then he conducted a text on me, and my result came out Negative. So friends if you are suffering from any kinds of disease contact Dr.Isai on his Email Address: drisaiherbalcenter@gmail.com you can also call or whatsapp him on this Tel.No: +2349034352176 and receive your cure.
