Dear Joash, Do you have research data you wish were easier to find and reuse? Springer Nature (the parent publisher of Nature Research) recently extended its Research Data Support service to cover all published authors (independent of which journal or publisher they have published with). Through this service our Research Data Editors will make your data easier to cite, share, find and reuse – enabling you to gain the credit and recognition you deserve for your data. Therefore, if you have data related to a published study, we would like to invite you to take advantage of the service (currently free-to-use) and make your data easier to cite, find and share. To submit, please fill out a short online form providing information about your data and then upload your files, privately and securely. After submission, our Research Data Editors will work with you to enhance your data by: • creating a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) for your data • providing clear information on how to cite your data • copy-editing metadata, such as titles and descriptions • arranging files into logical collections • adding links on the dataset to associated publications • providing clear open licence options and advice on copyright • making them available through the Springer Nature figshare repository We can handle a wide variety of data and file types, of up to 50Gb in size. Including, but not limited to: • spreadsheets • videos • images (photos, drawings, etc.) • audio files • imaging files • maps • code • word documents We look forward to improving the visibility of your research data. |
