The new SRG rat™, is a Sprague-Dawley SCID rat with knockouts in the Rag2 and Il2rgamma genes which lacks B-cells, T-cells, and NK-cells.

The SRG rat enables tumor cell line & PDX studies that are inefficient or not feasible in mouse. Tumors grow ~10x larger enabling PDX establishment and efficacy studies in a single passage, powerfully shortening timelines. Can the SRG rat can overcome limitations of mouse models?
