  • Study: Chocolate may cut stroke risk
    A study of 37,103 Swedish men between ages 45 and 79 found the men who ate about 2 ounces of chocolate per week were 17% less likely to suffer a stroke compared to those who ate little or no chocolate.   • Low vitamin D levels tied to higher heart, death risks
    Researchers looked at the blood samples of more than 10,000 people in Denmark, and found that those with low levels of vitamin D were 64% more likely to suffer from heart attack and 57% more likely to die prematurely than those with highest levels. They also had a 40% greater risk of ischemic heart disease and at least an 81% higher risk of heart disease-related death.
