Recommended by the Editors: The prognostic and predictive power of redox protein expression for anthracycline-based chemotherapy response in locally advanced breast cancer

In this study, Caroline Woolston and colleagues investigate if redox protein expression is involved in the response to anthracycline-based chemotherapy and with the clinical outcome of breast cancer. The authors find that redox protein expression can determine response to therapy and survival outcomes in patients with locally advanced primary breast cancer subsequently treated with neoadjuvant chemotherapy, suggesting that assessment of redox protein expression may have clinical potential.
