    Researchers found a link between single-nucleotide polymorphism in the methylene tetrahydrofolate reductase gene and an increased risk of developing radiation pneumonitis in a U.S. study of 136 lung cancer patients who underwent thoracic radiation therapy.   • Falling price of ethanol is part of seasonal pattern, analyst says
    Ethanol futures fell to about $2.06 per gallon on Dec. 15, the lowest since November 2010. Ethanol demand usually tapers off in the fall, increases slightly during the holiday driving season and stays flat until the summer driving season, said Rick Kment, an analyst for Telvent DTN.
