SPACE STATION'S NEW BAY WINDOW BOLTED INTO PLACE
------------------------------------------------
The seven-windowed cupola was moved from its temporary launch location on
the outer port of Tranquility to the Earth-facing side of the module
Monday, becoming the International Space Station's new observation portal
on the cosmos.

SPACEWALKING PLUMBERS MAKE TRANQUILITY COOLER
---------------------------------------------
Astronauts Bob Behnken and Nick Patrick took a six-hour spacewalk Saturday
night to hook up ammonia coolant lines between the new Tranquility module
and the International Space Station. Mission managers, meanwhile, have
approved a one-day extension to Endeavour's flight to give the astronauts
more time to move life support system racks and exercise gear into the new
module.

SPIRIT ROVER BUTTONS DOWN FOR HARSH WINTER ON MARS

The Spirit rover will spend the upcoming Martian winter in an unfavorable
orientation tilted away from the sun, limiting its power production and
likely ensuring the robotic explorer will be out of contact with Earth for
up to six months.

new satellites, including an imaging spacecraft that may provide Iran with

PROTON LOOKS AT ARIANE-LED DUAL LAUNCH MARKET

International Launch Services announced this week it will place a
commercial European-owned, U.S.-built satellite on the same Proton rocket
as a Russian-built payload in 2011, potentially making the workhorse
booster more competitive with the market-leading Ariane 5 launcher.
