The new patients are hospitalized in critical condition. - Owners rarely notice advancing dental disease, veterinarian says
Pet dental problems often go unnoticed by owners, according to veterinarian Jen Tate, making routine care and exams especially important. By age 3, 80% of dogs and 70% of cats have some form of dental disease, according to the American Veterinary Dental Society. The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine's Community Practice Clinic offers several dental care options for pets including prosthodontics and even orthodontics.
